What Link & Merge is
Link & Merge is Microgaming's own named collection format. Gather enough of a particular token in the base game and the screen hands over to a separate feature board, where tokens link and merge and their values recompose.
The lesson is the handover itself. Base-game symbol rules and feature-board rules are different rule sets; reading the second with the first guarantees a misunderstanding. Watching the transition deliberately is where understanding this format begins.
